The eminent philosopher Heraclitus once said, “Nothing endures but change.” Effective spring semester 2012, the Department of Engineering and Technology Education (ETE) will experience a significant change.
In a meeting of the Utah State University Board of Trustees held Friday, January 6, 2012, a complete renovation of the ETE department was approved. The new Department of Engineering Education (EED) will remain in the College of Engineering and will serve three noteworthy functions. The department will continue to offer a doctoral program in Engineering Education, and provide quality instruction for all of the pre-professional courses in engineering at the Logan campus, as well as the USU regional campuses throughout the state of Utah.
Students in the Aviation Technology and Technology Education programs will now be a part of the College of Agriculture in a newly formed School of Applied Sciences, Technology and Education. The Technology Education program will also have a new name and acronym—Technology and Engineering Education (TEE).
